International Composition Institute of Thailand (ICIT)Beguiled, No More, my theatrical work for voice, trombone, and acousmatic music, was performed as part of the ICIT concert. Performing the piece myself — singing, moving, and acting — created a personal powerful and cathartic release.Throughout history, collective belief has proven more powerful than any weapon. With carefully crafted narratives, those in authority have long shaped the gaze of the masses—not always toward truth, but toward curated fragments of it. This work explores the fragile space where admiration turns to idolatry, trust becomes surrender, and charisma masquerades as virtue. It reflects on the seductive power of authority and the willingly embraced enchantment that can transform patriotism into fervour and duty into blind allegiance. Yet amid the orchestrated confusion, another path remains: the solitary journey of the wanderer, the seeker, the exile by choice—from Siddhartha to Odysseus, from Ishmael to Dante—those who step beyond the echo chamber of collective belief to discover truth that must be earned, not handed down. This piece offers no easy answers, only an invitation: to question the spell, to step outside the circle, and to listen for what remains when illusion fades.December 20, 2024International WOCMAT Conference (Workshop on Computer Music and Audio Technology)My acousmatic piece Homage To Schnittke & Sciarrino is performed at the conference. This acousmatic composition delves into basic realms of sound manipulation, focusing on the works of Alfred Schnittke and Salvatore Sciarrino. It not only pays tribute to Schnittke and Sciarrino but also explores new auditory landscapes through the blending of two distinct contemporary classical voices.October 17, 2024The Days Of New Music Festival - ChisinauPianist Erika Crino gave a stunning performance of my solo piano piece Two Dances in Vlachic Spirit. Her energetic and masterful interpretation truly brought the composition to life. The concert itself explored a dialogue between Moldovan and Canadian composers.July 15, 2024ICMC Seoul ImpressionsAttending the ICMC in Seoul was an unforgettable experience.
